COVID-19: El Punto Más Oscuro(The Darkest Point)

Then COVID-19 struck. The pandemic made staying open nearly impossible. We sold our cars, personal belongings, made tamales and barbacoa—anything to survive. Many times we'd arrive to find the lights cut off because we couldn't pay the bills.

La Chispa de Esperanza(The Spark of Hope)

Right when we were about to give up, we looked at the luchador masks my father had sent from Mexico. They gave us a spark of hope—a call for change. Growing up with lucha libre in Mexico City, I knew this was our destiny.

El Renacimiento(The Rebirth)

We became Tortas Gigantes el Enmascarado. We added giant tortas to our menu—the only place in Houston selling them. Houstonians were amazed by the size. Food influencers came, made videos that went viral, and reached thousands.
